3003 is the most widely used of all aluminum alloys. It is basically commercially pure aluminum with manganese added, increasing strength by about 20% over grade 1100. Consequently, it possesses all the excellent properties of 1100 with higher strength. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and outstanding workability, suitable for deep drawing, spinning, welding, or brazing. It is non-heat-treatable. Applications: cookware, decorative trim, awnings, siding, storage tanks, and related products.
